Militarie Gun zet ongelukkige verhalen om in opzwepende, bevredigende releases zoals weinig andere bands datkunnen. Deze Amerikaanse post-hardcorevernieuwers, opgericht door frontman Ian Shelton, zoeken rusteloos naar kleine sprankjes hoop en kwetsbaarheid die tevoorschijn komen uit de harde realiteit. Ze laten zien dat rebellie niet alleen gaat om schreeuwen tegen de massa: het illustreren van iemands dagelijkse zorgen en worstelingen kan net zo urgent zijn.
