Toen de chaotische groep uit Zuid-Londen, bekend als Fat Dog, werd opgericht, stelden ze twee regels op: ze zouden een gezonde band zijn die goed voor zichzelf zorgde en er zou geen saxofoon in hun muziek voorkomen. Twee eenvoudige regels om naar te leven, en twee dingen die al lang geleden door het vijftal uit Brixton zijn overtreden. Fat Dog is een van de meest opwindende doorgebroken bands van de afgelopen jaren, met het soort uitzinnige en wilde liveshows die al jaren niet meer in de hoofdstad te zien waren, en nu de makers van WOOF., hun briljante en geestverruimende debuutalbum, maar ze zijn niet gezond. Een van hen heeft last van zweetvoeten. En ze hebben ook een saxofonist in de line-up. “Ja, het is allemaal verdomme de mist in gegaan”, zegt frontman en squadronleider Joe Love, echte naam Joe Love. De sound van Fat Dog is een spannende mix van electro-punk, rock-'n-roll, techno, industrial-pop en rave-euforie, muziek om je helemaal aan over te geven, die Love omschrijft als “muziek om in een kussen te schreeuwen”.
