Wouter Thijssen

Echoes of 1980s and 1990s alternative rock and a distinctive voice characterised Wouter Thijssen’s debut album, which was released in late 2019. For the follow-up, Broer, Wouter Thijssen was joined by regular band members Michel Becx (drums) and Sean Willekens (bass). This second album features sharp songs and heavy guitar work. The new work, populated by anarchists, punks and other young delinquents, comes to terms with Hasselt’s turbulent past and is set to be released in the spring of 2026 on the new label Thorn In My Side Recordings. The singles ‘Wille’ and ‘Wondermooie Rotzooi’ have already received airplay and praise on Meurissey (Willy).
