The Bristol-based band KNIVES makes tight punk in the spirit of city rival IDLES. The band formed in 2023 and released the mini-album Newshounds. Their debut album ‘Glitter’, which dives into the core of punk and protest, is due in 2025. Listen to songs like ‘’Headcase‘’ and also ‘’Babooshka‘’ on which the great Kate Bush classic is crushed and crushed into a coarse punk number. Singer Jay Schottlander can sing and scream like the best. Also Maddy Hill on saxophone, Dan Farren and Josh Cook on guitars, Ben Marshall on bass, Erin Cook on drums. and in terms of vocals is also aided by his bandmates who can also sing and scream like the best. KNIVES previously shared the stage with bands such as Mclusky, Enola Gay, LIFE and Wargasm and come to Merleyn in their own right to shake things up a bit.
