The 40th edition of Rock Herk with 25 new bands!

The Afghan Whigs

As usual, this is a mix of known and lesser known artists, but for Rock Herk 40 we want to take extra care to look back nostalgically to our stronger acts of the past.

That's why we moved the announcement of Raketkanon forward a day. No other band is so woven into the DNA of the Belgium's oldest alternative music festival. Raketkanon has been disbanded for 4 years now, but they are happy to put on an exclusive show especially for this anniversary edition.

We are also happy to announce a few more foreign acts that have helped make Rock Herk the unique festival it is today. The incisive rock of the American band The Afghan Whigs is a perfect example. As such, the band is flying to continental Europe exclusively for Rock Herk. The Irish trio Therapy? and Rock Herk have also always been a beautiful marriage and they are happy to come and show that love to us again.

On the Main Stage, Millionaire, Glints and Goose get more festive company in the form of French techno and electro hero Vitalic. Even more “dansbaar” beats will be served up by CC:DISCO! and Flashback Force.

We weren't done with the main stage yet! Featuring Compact Disk Dummies, J. Bernardt, Bluai, Ed Harcourt touring with The Afghan Whigs, Madd9, Mojo & The Kitchen Brothers and Bwana, winner of De Nieuwe Lichting 2024.

Brutus, Whispering Sons and Predatory Void already signed up to provide our Club with the harder work. They will be joined by the UK's Shame, Pyschonaut, Briqueville, Ronker, Desmond Dandies and Yesnomaybe, also winner of De Nieuwe Lichting 2024.

The Street, meanwhile, needs no introduction. Herman Brusselmans and Leblanc have already been announced. Today they are joined by MadMadMad, Ricky Bekstok, Pruillip, Brorlab and Waste.

We're not done yet, more names to follow, but above all, don't let that stop you from purchasing your ticket for Rock Herk. Even though the festival is turning out a big set of names today, 60% of the tickets have already been sold. So it looks like Rock Herk is once again heading for a sold-out edition this festive year. Tickets for Rock Herk are available online.

Let's keep you up to date
