Barno Koevoet is an attitude band with a good dose of ADHD. Live, they resemble a gang of robust kids on a sugar rush. Then again, their songs are razor-sharp and inventive. With their greasy bass lines, cutty guitars and pumping drums, they bang out a five-song EP in seven minutes. Frontman Barno draws the audience into their freak show, writing lyrics about frustrations in everyday life. Songs like "Fight Me Boomer" and "Fat Scum" are a product of this. In addition, they were among the 9 finalists of Stubru's New Direction 2023 and won the Soundtrack opportunity competition in 2021.
